Statement
While it is trivial that "everything is connected", the strucuture and nature of connected systems is not trivial. In this work I show visualizations built from medical records, international trade data, mobile phone communications, human mobility patterns and gene expression in nematodes. All of them are spin offs of figures produced for scientific publications. |

The HDI Tree

The HDI Tree is a visual representation of the Human Development Index (HDI) that allows the simultaneous visualization of the Human Development Index and its components. The HDI Tree was created together with Alex Simoes, Isabel Meirelles, Geoffrey House and David Landry.
